NITROLCHIMICA’S PLANTS ARE MADE AD HOC TO ENSURE OPTIMAL SOLVENT RECOVERY.

The specialisation of plants and processes permits the recovery of solvents with very different chemical-physical characteristics.

NitrolChimica’s production processes are inspired by the circular economy philosophy, which is based on the idea of optimising the recovery of all waste components.

NitrolChimica’s lines can receive waste loose or packaged in IBC, 200 lt drums and small packagings.

The plants owned by NITROLCHIMICA S.p.a. are thus subdivided:

  • Distillation plants: with continuous or batch operation, vacuum or atmospheric pressure (production of solvents with guaranteed product specifications or homogeneous mixtures to be used as alternative fuel to produce energy)
  • Drying plants solvent: (extraction from processing residues or paints-resins and solved substances with liquid, pasty or solid physical state) with continuous or batch operation and option to operate both under vacuum and at atmospheric pressure
  • Rectification plants : (regeneration of chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvents)
    – 2 distillers, for a total 45 m3 of evaporative capacity
    – 2 sludge distillers/dryers, for a total 20 m3 of evaporative capacity
  • Washing plants: (volumetric reduction of packagings, wash and separation with recovery of noble materials, such as aluminium, copper, steel etc.)
    – 1 automatic plant for emptying and washing in inert atmosphere of 200 litre drums containing solvents, resins or slime
    – 1 washing/drying plant for polluting packaging, for a total 15 m3 of capacity
  • Dissolution plant – fluidification: (fluidization of glues, resins, sludge)
    – 1 plant equipped with auger drum emptying machine and controlled atmosphere cabin with attached mixer, capable of generating fluid waste mixtures starting from the washing of the drums with compatible fluids. The mixtures obtained can be used for rectification or energy recovery systems.
  • Sorting plant: (volumetric reduction of packaging and related components)
    – 1 sorting and classification plant for residues resulting from internal processing cycles of solvents and contaminated packagings. Grinding, possible additivation and cleaning are carried out with subsequent separation of metal or plastic packagings
  • Drum filling plant:
    – 1 solvent drum filling plant with load line and automatic weighing of drums

Main construction features of plants and structures:

  • Design and execution of structures ensure maximum control and reduction of spills;
  • Treatments of all vented gases containing solvents with special liquid nitrogen plants;
  • Dedusting treatment with sleeve system with or without wet scrubber;
  • ADPE electrical installations in hazardous areas;
  • Ample use of steels and corrosion-resistant materials;
  • Automatic fire-fighting systems with high-pressure nebulised water;
  • 20,000 tonnes per year authorised processing capacity;
  • Total plant area: 10,000 m2
